series RENCONTRE

The French word 'Rencontre' was intentionally chosen as name for this series of paintings, because it describes more diverse relationalities, is more poetic, intimate and open-ended. Individually colored ribbons move like life-lines through space, once parallel and in close proximity, altering trajectories, converge for a brief moment in time, accidentally, harmoniously, or disruptively - life-altering. 'Rencontres' inevitably lend to transforming experiences.
