series EVANESCENCE

The word Evanescence originates from the Latin evanescere (“to vanish”).
Something can only vanish if it was first perceived in a state of existence—as a transient presence. The act of perception requires a quality of attentiveness, whether toward music, images, photographs, natural phenomena such as the sparkle or reflections of light on water, and so on.

As long as this passing wave of the present is experienced, it will remain—not as something that endures, but as what fades—in the form of memory.
Transience becomes the ungraspable that can be grasped. And change becomes the only constant in the reality of a breathing world.

It is only through vanishing—through evanescence—that insight arises and thus meaning. Transience becomes the sister of beauty.
Evanescence enables sensory perception, fills us with wonder and reverence, and offers orientation.

The paintings of the series "Evanescence” invites the viewer to immerse themselves in that space between arrival and disappearance—into a space uniquely their own, a space of experiencing and re-experiencing, into that oscillating state between the tangible and the intangible, between being and transience, into this world of continual discoveries and insights

All paintings of this serie are painted in acyrilic on canvas, size 120cm / 80cm.
